On this episode we chat with Marc Alan, a lover of the arts and Director of Marketing at Factory Underground Studios in Norwalk about Make Music Day!
From Marc:
Hello friends, I just wanted to share some news, in case you haven't heard. I am producing the first ever Horace Silver Jazz Fest in Norwalk, and the first one is set for Sunday, June 21, 2026 (coinciding with Make Music Day) It's named for a great jazz artist who was from the Wall Street neighborhood in Norwalk. This is a free event happening at the Factory Underground from 1-8pm with some amazing artists performing.
This is honeslty the first time I've done an event like this, but it's been in my brain for a whie, and I hope to make it a platform to build on for a bigger outside festival in 2027. So I hope you can come support, or just help spread the word.
Food and beverages will be served courtesy of the Norwalk Arts and Cultural Commission, and we are unveiling a portrait of Horace Silver we commissioned by Norwalk artist Robert Abriola.
Thanks! Marc
